Preparing the tubes…
THE ART OF SORTING
Water Sort is a color-sorting puzzle. With two simple taps, bring the mixed colors together one pour at a time.
Choose a tube with water, then a destination. An empty tube accepts any color; otherwise, the top colors must match.
Each tube holds four layers. Matching layers at the top pour together until the destination is full. Fill each non-empty tube with just one color to win.
Keep an empty tube for temporary storage when you can. Combine matching colors to uncover the layers below. Made a wrong turn? Undo and try again.
Use a mouse or touch screen. While a pour is playing, you can select the next tube and queue its destination. With a keyboard, use Tab or the left/right arrow keys to choose a tube, Enter or Space to confirm, and Esc to cancel. Choose “Full view” to focus on the game and press Esc to leave. Enable “Color numbers” to help distinguish colors. The game respects your system’s reduced-motion setting. Undo does not refund moves, and using “Show solution” makes the current run a practice run with no stars.
Select a tube with water, then a destination. The destination must be empty or have the same top color and room to spare. Matching layers at the top pour together until the color changes or the destination fills up. Put each color in its own full tube and leave the remaining tubes empty to win.
You cannot pour into a full tube or onto a different top color. Empty tubes accept any color. Select the raised tube again to cancel your selection.
Use unlimited undo and redo, or restart the level. After each pour, the game checks the board in the background. If it confirms there is no solution, it offers undo and restart controls. A hint highlights the next move on a solution path. You can stop the solution demonstration at any time.
Finish in fewer moves to earn more stars. Your result appears when you finish, and the level map keeps your best score. Each valid pour counts as one move. Undo does not refund moves, and redo adds a move. Selecting tubes and invalid taps do not count. Hints do not cost stars, but using the solution demonstration makes the run a practice run with no stars. Restarting resets the move count while keeping your personal best.
There is no timer, download, or sign-in. All 137 levels are available to choose from. Play in a desktop or mobile browser whenever you have a little time to think.
When local storage is available, your current level, moves, and completion records are saved in this browser automatically. You can resume after refreshing. Switching levels starts a fresh game on the selected level. Clearing browser data, private browsing, or changing devices may prevent your records from being retained.
